One of the bigger, softer, sweeter, rounder shirazes on the LCBO general list, with lifted, aromatic menthol, cherry-plum, clove and cedar bough nuances. A bit sweet and soft initially but with drying tannin on the finish.

Bin 555 has always been a soft fruity, very approachable and consistent shiraz from vintage to vintage. The 2008...

This is the second Wyndham wine that has won me over at our Wine Club. From the first taste I liked it. It was nice and fruity, but the finish had a touch of sour that I could have gone without.

Initially nose was quite tight but opened up with aeration: Sweet fruit, confection (a hint of bubble gum?), a bit of rubber. Full bodied. Soft and sweet but with some savory, herbal and Christmas spice complexity. A good balance of fruit, alcohol and smooth integrated tannin. A soft, easy drinking wine that will please most. Very good wine for the price. Ready to drink.

The 2008 Wyndham Bin 555 Shiraz is full bodied, with fruity notes of black cherry, prune, cedar and coconut. Tannins are subtle to refined (decant for 15 min) and the finish is medium. The enclosure is a screw cap, hence I don't recommend conventional cellaring, but can last up to 5 years if standing. My impression: NOTHING SPECIAL to NICE, 88 pts - worthwhile when on sale. Tasted Nov/10.

Tasted Oct & Nov 2011. A very well rounded and consistent fruit forward shiraz. Nice medium-dark fruit flavours such as cherry, currant and plums come forward and mingle with a nice soft spiciness. A very nice wine for the price.

Decent Shiraz with a good finish. Full-bodied and well balanced. Got better after an hour of aeration. Safe bet with casual wine drinkers but I felt a little bit short-handed with the lack of complexity. Tasted January 2012.
