This blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah has a medium+ intensity nose of candied red cherry and red licorice layered over black fruits, and sweet spices, with hints of black pepper and savoury notes. On the medium bodied, slightly warming and dry palate, it has dark red fruit, plummy, black pepper spice, and savoury flavours with virtually no oak influence, It's supported by fresh, tangy acidity and grainy, structured, slightly chalky textured tannins. Savoury mineral notes linger on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Aug/2021.

Very nice. Drink now.
Smooth drinking wine, low tannins and acidity, no need to save this buy and drink right away on its own or with light food.
Re-tasted March 2020 - same notes. Super value CdR.
Soft, easy-going CdR from the reliable Lavau. Generous ripe fruit with the expected spice/herbs/pepper notes of the region. No great complexity but for $15, this is more wine than one usually expects. Fine value indeed! Tasted Sept 2021.
Very tidy wine
