This vintage continues to impress with a combination of richness and edge, even if the length is not great. It is...
Curiously hard on the palate, with little flesh to compensate and terribly woody-caramel-dominated flavours. Doesn't...

(90?) - July 2010- outstanding value.
This is a great example of a QPR wine. On the nose, caremelized oak, wet leaves. On the palate it's a nice medium-full body wine with dry berries notes, balanced acidity and a beautiful finish. Buy a case.
Yes, this is a very good value wine. It needs a little air to soften as it does have all that good stuff mentioned in all the reviews.
Give it a chance to wake up before making a final decision on it. Its really the price that makes it so good.
In another year it will be real good so buy a few and keep em cooking until next year for the start of the real rewards.
good with lasagna with ricotta
(2007 vintage)
Alcohol and bubble gum on the nose. Medium bodied with good fruit concentration and a streak of salinity (Which i noticed before i ate the pizza! And which this went very well with by the way).
Good Chianti for the price.

A couple extra years in the cellar seem to have helped this. All things considered, a pretty good value for Chianti.
Deep ruby with ruby around the rim, showing some age. Spiced fruit notes, cedar and fresh potting soil on the nose. After opening up, the oak wafts off a bit and aromas of ripe cherry and pommegranate unveil. Still fairly big tannins at the front and a tea-like bitterness on the finish. Fair amount of oak throughout the mid palate where the fruit takes a back seat. Some length on the finish with cranberry and orange peel flavours.
Drink tonite with cured meats and cheeses or cellar for 2 more years. Tasted Aug '11.
