I'm fully onboard with David's assessment... I've seldom met a pinot from NZ that I didn't like, but this one is several notches above average. The elegance and complexity of this wine makes it worth those extra few bucks. Canadians in general are rightfully envious of NZ's superior response to the COVID-19 pandemic, but our winemakers might just have a bit of additional 'pinot envy'!

Juicy, vibrant PN here, with loads of ripe berries on the nose but with good balance of flavours from the mineral notes underneath. Mid-weight with enough acid crunch to keep it aligned and in character. Pretty solid stuff at the price.

This is not a fruit forward wine. This wine was very earthy, and I enjoyed that for a change. I was getting aromas of dried tobacco. It also had a hint of cola and smoke. Nice length with a pleasant hint of heat on the finish.
Tasted Feb 2022.
