Not the most complex as of now but very well-structured and full of pleasure. Ripe aromas of bumbleberry jam. Lovely on the palette with a very silky mouthfeel. Wonderful spicy finish too.
Fleshy, but with a sharp spine of acidity that keeps things in check. Smooth. High alcohol (14.5) not obnoxiously apparent.
The descriptions from the experts were spot on. Rustic feel with good depth. Good value indeed at this price.
A big, fairly powerful red with very ripe fruit and firm tannin. Nicely accented with some pepper and herbs. A lot of flavour and depth for only $18. Fine wine. Tasted Jul 2021.
