This is (was) one of those wines I wish I had bought more of. Sold out at my LCBO location. It's one of the best value priced pinots under $20 that I have tasted in a long time.
Cherry and strawberry notes along with a hint of red beets, Earthy notes follow on the finish. Well balanced and an enjoyable finish that sticks around.
Paired well with our mushroom risotto.

I already knew Marlborough is a great wine region in New Zealand, especially for Pinot Noir, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this Pinot Noir for that price. Perfect if you don't want to break the bank buying a good Pinot Noir from France at double the cost. Medium body wine that full body wine lovers (like me) will like. Tasted in September 2010.
