A very well made wine with a lovely finish and evident fruit, but ultimately missing something in the middle register. Good value though, and something of an unusual profile, i.e., an affordable, aged Barolo from a well-regarded house.
It's only wine but I like it
I take it that Lecinquevigne is Damilano's entry level Barolo. Approachable, still lively but ultimately simple red fruit, resolved tannin and brisk acidity. More on the quality level of a Langhe Nebbiolo. Meh for the price - quality ratio. Drink now. Tasted June 2023.
