A 2014 dry red blend (50% Grenache, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Carrignan, 5% Syrah) from the warm Priorat region south of Barcelona, Spain. Aged for 12 months in 50/50 French and American oak (20% new). Tons of black pepper, floral and mineral notes. Lilac, slate, hot stones, red plum, cherry, vanilla, dried herbs. Bright refreshing acidity with 14.5% alcohol and tannins well-integrated. The finish is outstanding in its length with dried herbs, licorice, black pepper, and slate/minerals.
