Gold Mundus vini in 2017.
Featured as part of the 'Georgia, Cradle of World Viticulture' exhibit at La Cité du Vin wine museum in Brdx.
Crafted from indigenous Saperavi grapes.
Vineyards, at ~400 m above the sea level, with high temperature fluctuations. Climate influence by the Great Caucasus Mountains at the left bank of Alazani River and Tsiv-Gombori mountain range at the right.
Part of the wine is aged in French oak barrels for 4 month.
Serve at 16°C with cold cuts, roast beef, lamb-mutton chanakhi (cooked with vegetables) chakhokhbili (meat stewed with tomatoes) and grilled steak.
