A 2013 Grenache-Syrah-Mourvedre blend from Southern Rhone, France. Medium aromas of plum, cherry, violets, thyme, oak, all-spice, cinnamon. There's a warmth from the alcohol but it's nicely balanced with the acidity. Easy to drink and pairs nicely with food. The tannins have grip and are drying producing a long finish of white pepper. Very nice wine.
Great wine for special occasions that did not require much decanting. Was great right upon opening. Tasted December 2017.
