Brella Pinot Noir 2014, Willamette Valley

Appealingly spicy and herbal, with textbook cool climate pinot character, this is solid value from the premium...
Now evolving with fairly deep garnet red colour, this is also showing maturing woodsy, burning leaves and leathery...
The nose of this pinot noir is a little stemmy and underripe. The palate is also somewhat rustic and lacking fruit...

The medium+ intensity nose is perfumed with spice, dark berry/cherry, earthy, and beet root aromas. The medium+ bodied palate has good concentration with very good acidity and smooth, refined tannins. It's well-knit and harmonious with nicely balanced savoury, earthy, dark berry, cherry, and spice flavours that linger through to the long finish. Tasted Dec/2019.

Really nice wine, not sure if this wine was recorked at some point as the two bottles we finshed showed virtually no staining on the corks.... like a Beaujolais nouveau would.
