Tim Pawsey

Tim Pawsey (hiredbelly.com) has been covering BC’s wine and dining scene for several decades during which he traveled to most of the world’s major wine regions. Currently he contributes to Vitis, BCLS Taste, Quench, SIP and Edible Vancouver Island magazines, among others. Over the years he was a longtime columnist with the Vancouver Courier, North Shore News and Where magazine. Tim was a founding judge of the BC Lieutenant Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Wine and judges also at the BC Wine Awards (now BCLG Wine Awards) and All Canadian Wine Championships. Honours include: “Friend of the Industry”, 2012, BC Restaurant & Food Services Association Hall of Fame; 2020 Wine Growers of BC Industry Recognition Award; 2021 Harry McWatters Founder’s Award. Tim is a founding member and former director of the British Columbia Hospitality Industry Foundation (BCHF).
