Join winemakers, winery owners, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and other wine enthusiasts for a day of discussions, workshops, and presentations about the business of wine in the Global Economy.
Registrations are now open for Rootstock 2024 on Monday, June 24 (8 am – 5 pm). Our first Featured Speaker will be Elaine Chukan Brown, Writer, Speaker, and Global Wine Educator, who will discuss today’s wine consumers. With brand loyalty transforming into consumer curiosity, what compels them to buy — and how do wineries, restaurants, and the media connect with them?

Our other Featured Speakers — Richard Kershaw, Master of Wine, Winemaker, and owner of Kershaw Wines (South Africa), and Tanisha Townsend, Certified Specialist of Wine (WSET Level 3) and Chief Wine Officer for Girl Meets Glass — will present next, followed by Keynote Speaker Madeline Puckette, Founder of Wine Folly.
Madeline’s innovative style has revolutionized wine education and media. Their keynote address, Demystifying Wine: The Journey of Wine Folly from Passion to Global Phenomenon, will tell their inspiring journey of transforming a passion for wine into a global educational brand. Attendees will gain insights into the strategies and philosophies that propelled Wine Folly to success and learn how simplicity and clarity can create a lasting impact in any field.
To complete the day’s program, attendees will choose two breakout sessions. Options include a tasting session led by Masters of Wine and Master Sommeliers featuring some of their favourite vintages, a tasting of urban viticulture wines influenced by urban communities, and a discussion of drought-resistant varietals in warming regions. Please note: attendees will be contacted on a first-come, first-served basis for session registration after their ticket purchase.
