IGP Pays d’Oc Cocktail Hour – Sept. 25
Savour the South of France with John Szabo M.S. and Sara d’Amato
Join John Szabo MS and Sara d’Amato at 5 PM on September 25th for a tasting of wines from one of the world’s most sought-after tourist destinations on France’s Mediterranean Coast, the Pays d’Oc. The wines are every bit as popular as the destination with 25 bottles of Pays d’Oc IGP sold every second worldwide making it the most exported IGP of France. Ensconced in the territory of the Languedoc-Roussillon, the Pays d’Oc is the most productive IGP designation in France and it is also the fastest growing when it comes to sustainable and organic production. More than just pleasure-for-price, the area is a non-conformist playground, thanks to the freedom afforded specifically by the IGP designation, where you can find creative wines of quality, unique in France. There is no room for pretence in these wines that aim to show varietal distinctiveness and diversity, and are inventively marketed to those of us outside of Europe.
