Descorchados Toronto 2017 – June 8
The BEST of South American Wine
Published annually since 1999, Descorchados is Latin America’s most important wine guide. A wide-angle photograph of what’s happening with wines in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. From the largest wineries to the small scale artisanal producers the entire panorama of South American wine is presented. Please mark Thursday, June 8th in your calendars because Descorchados is coming to Toronto! Over 40 wineries and 130 wines from four South American countries – Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay – will be present for you to sample. Only the wineries with wines published in the guide can participate, so all the wines have been well received.
Passed canapés and hors d’oeuvres will be served. The author of Descorchados, Patricio Tapia, will also be in attendance.
Patricio Tapia
“There are many ways of telling the story of a wine. The most common is for the bottle to tell us about its origin. Wines with a strong sense of place that can’t be made anywhere else. You smell them, taste them, and immediately realize that there’s something more there than just properly vinified grapes.” Patricio Tapia, Descorchados 2016
