Nice easy drinker that's really polished. Burnt brown sugar, blueberries and steamy hot rock leap out of the glass. Palate is plush with nicely integrated tannins. Medium weight. This is drinking good now but will show even better after about 3-5 years of bottle age...but can you wait that long...

This hits all the notes that southern Rhone should. Big fruit but nicely balanced with herb and spice notes along with a poised if not overwhelmingly complex structure. Nicely balanced with a long fruit retaining finish. Easy and pleasurable quaffer, but with enough going on to make you pause that extra few seconds and take it all in.
Black plum, licorice and cedar aromas from the cork. Perfumed medium intensity nose that is wood-influenced with undertones of black cherry, spices and hints of brett. The palate is medium-bodied with well-integrated tannins and bright, mouth-watering acids. Delicious currant, clove, leather, and cedar flavour profile. Pleasing purple fruit and earthy notes on the lingering finish. Tasted Sept/2015.
