The Taylor Fladgate 10 Year Old Tawny Port has intense aromas of stewed prune, plum and roasted walnuts. It is a full bodied, sweet, integrated to aged port; with good acidity, and a medium to long finish. Drink as a desert; drink now – 2020. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 92 pts – recommended for its quality and value. Tasted in September 2013 at iYellow's Taylor Fladgate Port Party http://grapeselections.com/port-and-werewolves/

Taylor Fladgate 10 year Tawny is more ruby than tawny in the glass. The nose offers up dark and dried fruit with a hint of nuttiness that plays out in a more pronounced way on the palate. A full bodied almost creamy mouthfeel, with some alcohol heat and excellent length. Really well done for their entry Tawny (10 years) in the series. Oct. 2014.
A wonderful sipper. Nose and taste has a balanced complexity of walnuts, caramel, and those English candy strawberries with the white power on them. Medium body and a nice touch of sweetness on the finish. Excellent stuff!

Taylor Fladgate is often considered the standard-bearer for Tawny Ports - at least those readily available. With this 10-year, it's easy to see why.
Floral aromas with clay, wood, red berries and dried fruits.
Wonderful palate of spirits and savoury dried fruits, resinous notes, medium+ finish.
Tawnies are generally more versatile than LBVs, with the savoury backbone offering a lot of latitude. An excellent introduction to the style.
Last tasted November 2016.

Consistently a very good tawny with copious notes of dried fruit (prunes, dates) along with caramel/butterscotch. A bit of tannin and cleansing acidity on the finish. Nice, but the price is getting up there. Tasted Nov 2019.
Medium-to-high intensity nose, savoury with dried fig, raisin, prune and blackberry aromas that echo nicely on the smooth palate. It has a sinewy mouthfeel and finishes long and smooth. Tasted Nov/2014.
