Beautiful, bountiful, bold Barossa big boy. Full, rich, dense yet with a refined flow to its gait, rather than an agressive swagger. A wonderfully complex and enticing nose. Flavours of concentrated fruit, eucalyptus, judiciously integrated oak influences. Tannins are manageable and there's balanced acidity and excellent to outstanding length. It's an amped but stylish Shiraz that is drinking well now but also has the stuffing to last another 7-10 years. Dec. 2014.

Superb balanced Shiraz... this makes you truly appreciate Aussie reds. Not a big "loud" mouthful like some Shiraz offerings can be. I consider this a STEAL at $ 40.

The 2007 Barossa Valley Estate Ebenezer Shiraz, aged in French Oak for 12 months, has luscious aromas of black currant, cedar, thyme, stems and subtle vanilla and lees on the nose and black currant, black berry, toast and woodiness on the palate. It is a full bodied, extra-dry/dry, fruity to integrated wine; with slightly sharp acidity, refined tannins (decant for 15 min) and a long and smooth finish. This big boy is definitely a sipper; drink now and for the next 5-7 years (screw cap enclosure). My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 91-92 pts – recommended for its quality. Tasted in Jan/15.

Beautiful wine here. Very sophisticated nose of cherry, mocha, sweet spice and, as David notes, a hint earthy / smokey evergreen. These follow on a densely layered palate with excellent balance and length. Hallmark Aussie Shiraz, but dressed up for a black tie evening at the Ritz. All class.
