The WineAlign World Wine Awards of Canada (WWAC) are held every year in September. Each year a wide selection of the country’s leading wine writers and tasters are asked to gather somewhere in Canada to evaluate, in three price categories, over 1,500 wines that are sold in Canada. Full results are published on WineAlign in October.

Wines are judged along with similar wines in three separate categories:

Best Value: <$15

Premium Value: $15 to $25

Ultra Value: $25 to $50

The winning wines, besides being integrated into the WineAlign website, will also be showcased in a special feature section of the National Post’s Financial Post Magazine.   FP Magazine has a readership of close to one million and represents an affluent wine loving demographic group.

Combined with the reach of WineAlign, the potential audience size for the results will exceed two million.

This is the one wine award that you do not want to miss since it is only $100 per wine to enter.

2013 WWAC Important Dates

July 11:                    Online registration opens

July 22:                 Acceptance of wine begins in Toronto

September 4 August 28:   Wine delivery to Keele Warehousing is closed.

September 5 August 26:   Online registration closes. All wines must be entered and paid for by 5pm EST

September:         Judging takes place in Toronto

Mid-October:  Results sent via email to each winning winery/agent
